
MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Health (DOH) reported two more deaths from coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Tuesday night (March 17), bringing the country’s total to 14.
PH126 is a 76-year-old male who expired this afternoon from Acute Respiratory Disease Syndrome (ARDS) and severe pneumonia. He had type 2 diabetes and was hypertensive. He was admitted at the Adventist Medical Center in Manila on March 9 and was confirmed positive for COVID-19 on March 15.
Meanwhile, PH129 expired today after experiencing ARDS secondary to COVID-19.
He was A 67-year-old male who was admitted at the Lung Center of the Philippines. He was a known hypertensive.
Overall, the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country is at 187 with 655 cases who tested negative and 184 awaiting results.
