The Department of Health (DOH) is set to release guidelines on social distancing amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) threat in the country.
The Health Department is encouraging the public to practice social distancing to further prevent the spread of the virus.
Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said social distancing and enhanced hygiene is effective in staving off the spread of COVID-19.
“The guidelines are undergoing refinement and this will be finalized within the day we can submit to you the guidelines and to the DILG,” he said.
Duque said that social distancing include keeping an arm’s length distance when talking to someone, class suspension, work-from-home option and flexi-work.—AAC (with reports from Vincent Arboleda)
